Ball sealing plugs or pin sealing plugs - HA-CO thus guarantees process-reliable sealing of bores

HA-CO Sealing Plugs are used to effectively seal bores or other openings.

As a rule, the sealing plugs are used for boreholes in the field of fluid technology to prevent the escape of liquids. Due to the different material combinations, pressures up to 500Bar can be sealed, but also temperatures up to 150 degrees can be sealed with the right selection.

The sealing plug system has been proven over many decades and offers the customer a process-safe and guaranteed solution and can be easily integrated into automated production due to its one-piece and simple design.
Assembly is usually done by hand with so-called setting punches or pneumatic devices. Over the last few years, we have also been able to acquire extensive knowledge in the field of "automated processing'". Just ask us!

The sealing plugs from HA-CO are identical in design and construction to the Koenig expanders and can be purchased in the ball (push type) and pin (pull type) versions.

For the ball sealing plugs, a so-called stepped bore is required. Here, the sealing plug then sits on this "step".
Using the respective assembly tool, the ball of the sealing plug is pressed into the sleeve and then expands in the sleeve, causing the groove profile of the sleeve to expand into the base material of the respective material, thus creating a tight connection.

The pin sealing plug does not require a stepped bore. This plug is usually processed with pneumatic equipment.
For this purpose, the device with the sealing plug is fed to the hole. By actuating the device, the pin is pulled through the sleeve, causing the sleeve to expand back into the base material. The groove profile on the sleeve then creates the tight connection. A predetermined breaking point on the pin then causes it to tear off after successful processing.
